Sci-Fi On Point

Here at On Point, we keep an eye on the front pages. But we also look ahead, sometimes way ahead. Science fiction is one of our recurring themes, from the far-out future of NASA and dreams of asteroid mining, to the works of Margaret Atwood. We’ve looked at the future of the sci-fi genre, looked at the best sci-fi films, and talked with Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin.

We sat down with cyber prophet William Gibson and talked about the legacy of Michael Crichton, envisioned a 100 year starship, looked at the classic (and updated) War of the Worlds, dug into classics like Hunger Games and Star Trek.
